岡田知子 / TOMOKO OKADA

岡田 知子(おかだ・ともこ)・ピアニスト:

 

東京芸術大学器楽科を卒業後、北西ドイツ音楽アカデミー・デトモルトに留学。

声楽の伴奏と器楽アンサンブルを学び、同校を首席で卒業。

1977年1月、ベルリン・メンデルスゾーン・コンクール:ピアノ・トリオ部門第1位入賞。同年10月、ジュネーブ国際音楽コンクール:ピアノ・トリオ部門第2位(1位空席)及び スイス特別賞受賞。 現在、アンサンブル・ピアニストとして内外演奏家との共演、CD録音、コンサート・プロデュースなど、多方面に活発な活動を続けている。

Tomoko Okada, Pianist

 

As a graduate of the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music in Japan and Detmold Music Academy in Germany, Miss Okada studied piano under Klaus Schilde and Friedrich W. Schnurr, chamber music accompaniment under Gunter Weissenborn, and harpsichord under Waldemar Doling. She won the 1st prize at the Mendelssohn Competition and the Geneva International Competition in Piano Trio section in 1977.

 

She has been a pianist as well as an interpreter in the master classes of distinguished singers such as Elizabeth Schwarzkopf, Victoria de Los Angeles and Ernest Hafliger. In 1996, she accompanied for Aurele Nicolet, flutist, on his Taiwan tour.

 

Since 1980, the inauguration year of the Kusatsu International Music Academy & Festival in Japan, Miss Okada serves as pianist-in-residence at the Festival including numerous performances with Ernst Hafliger for Schubert’s song cycles and has released many recordings with him such as“Winterreise”and others.

 

As a devoted chamber musician, she actively performs many concerts with renowned musicians throughout Japan and Europe.
